PRESENTATION

We live in difficult times in Peru. In the middle of an apparent tranquility we can observe the constant changes in our society. In the political field, the ministerial cabinet has had to be renewed in several opportunities, the economy has shrunk due to the world situation, the area of the public health has been shaken by a flu that has been changing name since it´s been detected, the public transport has been a witness to numerous strikes and it has caused many deaths up to this day. Finally, we cannot stop mentioning the officials' and natives' unnecessary deaths in Bagua.

It is this context that we can ask, what can we do to revert this situation? Whose fault is this? How will we excel ourselves?

The solution is not in the heart or mind of the man but in God's love. The National Anthem says: " … before deny their lights the Sun, that we should be absent to the solemn vote that the Mother land raised the Eternal one. " In the seventh strophe it says this way: " … let's renew the great oath that we did to the God of Jacob. "

Since the National Anthem was sung for the first time we come year after year being absent to this solemn vote. Thanks to God who is patient with us. Unfortunately, we live through the consequences of our acts and nowadays we are known worldwide for drug trafficking, poverty and violence, and not for the wealth of our cultural and natural heritage.

Today it is time to put Peru on the world map as a competent and visionary nation.

This is why Colegio San Andrés has served our nation in the educational area for 92 years and has done it with the conviction that " The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge. " (Proverbs 1:7)

It is my prayer that every student, parent and all the members of Colegio San Andrés could experience the abundant life that JESUS promises and guarantees. Psalm 16:8 says: " I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken."
